Blogs and Google

Well, it's been several weeks since Google updated their Page Rank algorythms and again, they shook things up pretty good.

You have to keep asking yourself ... Is this search engine getting better or worse?  I mean, when you do a search are you getting what you wanted? I'm not.

What I've noticed specifically is that Google is now punishing blogs like this one that are published through a hosted solution like Typepad or WordPress.

You know, I could maybe understand WordPress because those blogs are free and are abused by the black hat SEO community to help them gain better rankings. But punishing Typepad?

Think about it ... we pay for the service ... we pay for the ability to blog here ... clearly we are real bloggers with real online journals. Why would you punish a paid service? That's like throwing the baby out with the bath water.

I for one, am going to keep my account with Typepad despite Google ... or is that inspite of Goggle?! Either way, I think people are growing tired of Google stirring the pot so often and at some point, only the black hatters will care enough to keep playing with Google.
